Cruise Recommendations

  •  Carry a motion sickness medicine with you. We recommend you pack Bonine. It does not make you sleepy like regular Dramamine. The key ingredient you are looking for is Meclizine Hcl. Always check with your personal physician before taking this or any other medication.
  • Carry Zip-Lock Baggies with you. Before you head out on shore excursions, order room service. Fill your baggies with fruit, cookies and sandwiches. After all, you have paid for this food, so you might as well eat it!
  • Carry a water bottle with you and fill it up on the ship. They will have water for you to take with you on shore excursions, but they have a charge that goes with it. Keep your water bottle full and take it with you instead. Plus, you must exercise caution in some areas because of their water supply. The best water is from the boat!
  • If you are planning on doing any water activities, we highly recommend you purchase a waterproof, disposable camera from Wal-Mart or Target. They cost about $10. If you wait until you are on the ship, it can cost upwards of $15 or more. Save that money for the casino or souvenirs.
  • There is no need for you to pack beach towels. The cruise lines provide you with a towel to take ashore to the beaches. There are also towels available on deck for use while laying out or swimming.  This is why we also recommend a beach bag or tote.
  • If you want to forego packing a coat and tie, there are tuxedos for rent aboard the ship. This is a first come first serve option. If you require special sizes, reconsider, as they usually only carry popular/average sizes.
  • Do not forget to carry and use your sunscreen. Burns come quick and easy. A sunburn will ruin a good time fast. Use it often!
  • If you are interested in snorkeling and are driving to your ship, carry your own snorkel equipment. You can rent some on board the ship, but again, it will cost you. If you are going to do limited snorkeling or going on an excursion that is a snorkeling excursion, check with your guides to see if they offer equipment for free.
